The eight bridesmaids wore strapless

The eight bridesmaids wore strapless, champagne knee-length dresses, also from Priscilla of Boston, and carried small bouquets of burgundy roses. Ruzicka, 32, and his groomsmen wore gray morning suits with ascots.

The Neuqua Valley High School String Quartet performed at the ceremony.

Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours" played as the bridal party walked down the aisle, followed by "With or Without You" by U2 as Glocksen was escorted by her mother and father. " 'With or Without You' means a lot to us," Ruzicka said. "It's the last song of the night when my band plays. It's not the words. It's the meaning behind the song."

In place of readings, Glocksen and Ruzicka asked the quartet to play "Fix You" by Coldplay while they lighted the unity candle. Lyrics were provided to the congregation to read.

A quote in the wedding program read, "Music is what brought [us] together and continues to be a driving force in [our] life together."

The ceremony was presided over by William Byrne, Ruzicka's uncle, who was ordained for the event. He shared stories about the couple and referred to famous love songs, saying "Gina and Joe found each other because of music."

The evening continued with a reception at the Bolingbrook Golf Club, where about 300 guests were expected to dine on stuffed chicken, followed by Glocksen and Ruzicka's favorite, Portillo's chocolate cake, instead of a traditional wedding cake.

Wednesday's ceremony was the culmination of the couple's almost four-year romance. Ruzicka proposed to Glocksen onstage during a Rosemont performance on the "American Idols Live" tour.

They'll go to Wisconsin for a quick getaway, postponing their honeymoon. Ruzicka will return to teaching after winter break and Glocksen will most likely be going to Los Angeles for another season of Fox's "Idol Extra."
